Barge Ramp used for oil spill exercise

Last month Darwin Port used the Barge Ramp at East Arm for an equipment deployment training and familiarisation event. Darwin Port chose the Barge Ramp because they could take advantage of the laydown area for equipment preparation and the ramp for deployment.

Darwin Port’s aim for this exercise was to familiarise their personnel with oil spill response equipment and clean up techniques through an equipment deployment.
