Common User Facility Upgrades

NEW CUF ACCESS GATE SYSTEM

A new access system has been installed for the sliding access gate at the Common User Facility (CUF). The new system replaces the previous remote/fob access system.

The new controller utilises a phone sim-card to control the gate. When a registered number makes a call to the gate number (0417 157 530) the system recognises registered numbers and activates the gate. Note: there is no charge to call the gate access number.

The new system is designed to allow better control of access to the facility. Registered users to date have expressed positive feedback regarding operation of the new system as it has allowed them to move freely on and off site with the use of a registered mobile phone.

Registration of phone numbers for access to the site by licence holders and their contractors can be arranged by calling the LDC Asset Manager, Chloe McNaught on (08) 8944 0928 or 0439 928 534.

CUF HARDSTAND GRID MARKING
Users and visitors to the Common User Facility (CUF) Hardstand may have noticed some new “dots” over the north-west corner of the CUF. These dots, placed at 10m x 10m grid spacings, are designed to assist users to accurately place their assets on the designated lease areas. The trial, which may be extended across the entire Hardstand area in future, will also assist LDC to better manage the long-term operation and maintenance of the CUF.

For more information, or to book the hardstand facilities, contact Jenny Strangon 8944 0900.
