Cooling down Darwin

Cooling down Darwin

The Urban Development Institute of Australia (NT) invites you to join them at a presentation by Professor Lawrence Nield on 'Cooling Darwin'.

Professor Nield will be presenting the results of his temperature research for the Darwin CBD. The data addresses ground (and some wall) surface temperatures and includes a heat model for the whole of the city. Eleven heat mitigation strategies have been identified using the heat mapping data and new Australia - first technology.

Attendance at the Cooling Darwin event will provide insight into heat research undertaken so far, as well as an opportunity to engage in discussion about how the development industry can contribute to the cooling of Darwin.
