Helping Save HDML 1321

Helping Save HDML 1321

The MV Rushcutter is a 26 metre former Coastwatcher vessel which sunk in Darwin Harbour. Previously known as HDML 1321, the boat was used to transport Z Force commandos behind enemy lines during World War II.

The Save HDML 1321 group is in the process of raising the MV Rushcutter so that she can be restored and then put on display.

The Land Development Corporation is providing the Save HDML 1321 group with access to hardstand space at the Common User Facility to enable the group to construct a cradle which will be used to support the MV Rushcutter when it is lifted onto a barge.

If you would like to help the Save HDML 1321 group with their worthy endeavors they can be contacted on Facebook or you can donate via GoFundMe.

For more information on the Common User Facility contact Jenny Strang on 08 8944 0930.
