High voltage electrical headworks contract awarded for Northern Marine Complex, Precinct 1

Critical power infrastructure for the Northern Marine Complex, Precinct 1 subdivision will soon be delivered, with Darwin-based ABR Group Pty Ltd awarded the high voltage electrical headworks contract.

Precinct 1 forms part of the Northern Marine Complex, a strategic waterfront industrial area at East Arm designed to support marine maintenance, servicing, engineering, fabrication, and logistics within Darwin Harbour.

ABR Group secured the contract following a competitive tender process and brings extensive experience across defence, utility, government and critical infrastructure projects.

The works will support the continued development of the Northern Marine Complex by connecting the subdivision to the existing high-voltage network and enabling future industrial activity across the precinct.

Works will include trench excavation and directional boring, installation of new electrical conduits and cables, trench backfilling and surface remediation.

The headworks are scheduled for completion by Q4 2026.
