The Land Development Corporation (LDC) is pleased to progress the delivery of land to the Alice Springs residential market. The Coolibah Release marks the second stage of the Kilgariff Estate.

The Coolibah Release offers 37 Traditional Lots (over 760m2) and 8 Multi-Dwelling Lots (of various sizes) to deliver up to 67 new dwellings for the Alice Springs community.

Together with LJ Hooker Alice Springs, LDC held a successful Ballot Event on the evening of Thursday 3 June. Due to the positive demand from our market research, a transparent ballot process was undertaken.

The Ballot Event was held at DoubleTree by Hilton in Alice Springs, with over 30 attendees at the Multi-Dwelling and Traditional Lot draws. Purchasers were given the opportunity to participate in the ballot and secure a pre-sale lot.

14 Traditional lots were secured by purchasers while a further 5 Multi-Dwelling Lots were sold, capable of accommodating up to 16 dwellings.

The Coolibah Release lots not sold on the night will be available for pre-sale purchase via Sam Linn and the team at LJ Hooker Alice Springs. Lots are priced from $192,000.

An additional 7 Lifestyle lots (595m2), intended to provide a low maintenance alternative to Traditional Lots are expected to be released in September 2021. LDC is continuing to explore potential house and land packages with local builders on the Lifestyle Lots and will provide further updates shortly.

BMD has been awarded the Civil Construction works following a competitive tender process. Subdivision works will commence on site mid-June. Titles are anticipated to be issued for the lots in December 2021/January 2022.

Quotes from the Chief Executive Officer of the Land Development Corporation, Tony Stubbin:

The Land Development Corporation is proud to be delivering and supporting new homes for Territorians in Alice Springs. This next stage of Kilgariff Estate continues LDC’s work in providing opportunities for home ownership for Alice Springs residents and follows LDC’s successful provisioning of lots in Palmerston’s Zuccoli Village estate.

Quotes from the Principal, LJ Hooker Alice Springs, Sam Linn:

“The Kilgariff Estate Coolibah Release Ballot Night was a fantastic event, clearing 42% of the blocks to excited purchasers who will be starting a new chapter in the estate.

Further enquiries have already started rolling in for the remaining blocks.

LJ Hooker is proud to continue its relationship with Land Development Corporation and looking forward to what is on the horizon for Kilgariff Estate.
