Shell Australia unveiled bespoke Larrakia artwork at its Darwin Onshore Supply Base (DOSB), located on O’Sullivan Circuit, within the Darwin Business Park, East Arm.

Rob Jager, VP Prelude Shell Australia and Diane Louden, Manager Darwin Onshore Supply Base were joined by Larrakia artists and local contractors ASCO, Rusca Environmental Solutions and Flowserve to showcase eight indigenous artworks wrapped around the two water tanks of the DOSB.

The artworks depict the story of Kulumbiringin Country’s dry and wet seasons … the Dalirrgang and Balnba … nature’s cycle of renewal that the Larrakia people have experienced for tens of thousands of years.

Rob Jager, VP Prelude Shell Australia said:

“We are proud of the partnership we have established with the Larrakia people.   Getting involved in community projects is one way Shell Australia seeks to become part of the fabric in the places where we work.  The Larrakia have an important role in our Prelude operations in the Northern Territory and that provides the opportunity to connect culturally and economically.  We congratulate them on creating such magnificent art and sharing it with us.”
