Bellamack Gardens

Bellamack Gardens was a master planned development sited on a 1.4 hectare corner block in the City of Palmerston, 20km from Darwin. The project was the Land Development Corporations first entry into the affordable and compact housing arena and priority was placed on delivering an affordable product to the market and increasing the range of housing options available in the Northern Territory.

The project included a communal park with BBQ facilities and 28 dwellings, comprising a mix of 18 two-bedroom detached townhouses, two one-bedroom detached expandable townhouses and eight one-bedroom townhouses with the unit entitlement areas ranging in size from 154m2 to 518m2.

All 28 ground level homes were designed to incorporate environmentally friendly and energy efficient features, solar hot water systems and were fully landscaped including reticulation, with all completed homes classified to have a 6 star Nabors Energy Rating.

Local building contractor Norbuilt was utilised for the project and employed over 200 local Territory workers over the life of the project. All 28 homes were sold at list price ($265,000 to $368,000) between April 2011 and March 2012 generating over $9 million revenue.
