Project update: Future Tender Opportunity

Expressions of interest (EOI) have been sought from suitably qualified contractors to oversee and manage the design and construction of the Darwin Ship Lift Project on behalf of the Northern Territory Government.

The EOI is the first of a three staged procurement process for this project:

  • Expressions of Interest (EOI) phase – initial capability assessments and development of the delivery model, resulting in the shortlisted respondents progressing to the next phase.

The EOI took place during August and September 2020.

  • Request for proposals (RFP) phase – a detailed assessment and costing to further shortlist the respondents to proceed to the final detailed design development phase.

The RFP will take place between October and DecemberĀ 2020.

  • Request for Detailed Design (RFDD) phase – a competitive detailed design phase resulting in the appointment of the construction contractor for the project.

The RFDD will take place between February and June 2021.
