Middle Arm Industrial Precinct
Middle Arm Industrial Precinct is home to two of the Northern Territory’s largest and most productive gas processing companies. The estate is set to become a world class hub for gas production and manufacturing by 2030. Located on the Middle Arm Peninsula, the master-planned 600 hectare estate will provide a variety of lot sizes for sale or lease. All lots will have access to an extensive product corridor network and planned water access to Darwin Harbour.
High and low pressure gas availability supports co-location with feedstock suppliers in the product corridor. The estate also benefits from two power stations, well situated to service the requirements of future occupants and their operations.
The product corridor provides an area for transmission of utilities, gas, feedstock and other products. All lots will be reticulated with power, water and communications infrastructure. There is also potential for sites to be serviced with reticulated high and low pressure gas.
Located on the Middle Arm Peninsula in Darwin Harbour, the 600 hectare Middle Arm lndustrial Precinct provides a variety of lot sizes to accommodate large strategic industries for downstream gas processing and gas manufacturing developments. Overall, the precinct can accommodate a range of incoming industries including:
- Industrial – oil and gas, chemical
- Utilities – power generation
- Logistics – rail
The precinct has an extensive product corridor network for the efficient transmission of utilities, gas, feedstock and products. Current and future development areas can provide lot sizes from five hectares to 160 hectares.
The NT Government has released its 5 Point NT Gas Strategy to drive the Governments vision for the Territory as a world class hub for gas production, manufacturing and services by 2030. The Strategy includes 5 main achievable targets:
- Get more LNG in Darwin and expand Darwin’s LNG Export Hub
- Grow the gas supply and service industry
- Establish a gas manufacturing industry
- Grow research and innovation and training capacity; and
- Contribute to national energy security on the East Coast
Middle Arm Industrial Precinct will provide key infrastructure for proponents looking for strategic parcels of land to service downstream oil & gas processing and supporting industry.
The Land Development Corporation proposes to develop two estates at Middle Arm Industrial Precinct:
- Kittyhawk Estate – Stage 1 of this 300 hectare estate has commenced construction.
- Spitfire Estate – This 300 hectare estate will be developed as demand requires.
Construction is currently underway at Stage 1 of Kittyhawk Estate which will provide 3 lots for sale ranging in size from 1 hectare to 16.5 hectares. These lots are available for strategic investment and are set to be completed early 2021.
