Griffin Marine Services is a national ship maintenance company that expanded to the Northern Territory three years ago to provide efficient and professional services to defence, private and commercial vessels in Northern Australia.

Northern Territory Operations Manager, Martyn Stroud is committed to using local contractors to support the local economy and businesses, “This means there is no need for fly-in, fly-out workers and we can keep the work in the Territory,” Martyn shared.

Griffin Marine Services prides itself on proactive and professional support and has over 40 clients across the nation including prime Defence contractors UGL, BAE, Thales, MCDSPO and NSM.

The company is also AS/NZS ISO Accredited for Quality Management Systems 9001-2015 and have ISO Welding Procedures accredited by DNV GL and Lloyds for high tensile carbon steels as well as alloys such as aluminium and stainless steels.

With over 60 years of shipbuilding, ship repairs, marine maintenance and management experience, the team provides quality and efficient work to their clients.

With the building of Northern Australia’s new $400M Ship Lift, located at East Arm Wharf, Griffin Marine Services expect to expand their business and support the local economy to grow Darwin into a regional ship repair and maintenance hub.

“We are looking to secure a site for our workshop at LDC’s Marine Industry Park for close proximity to the new Ship Lift”.
